Events Manager

We create exciting and innovative ice creams and sorbets using only the best quality ingredients and production methods which we serve from our Tufnell Park and Kings Cross parlours. We also cater for various events, including weddings and corporate functions, as well as working in partnership with companies to create bespoke products and events.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced member of staff to join our team on a full-time basis. We are interested in people of all ages with Events experience. We are an exciting and relatively young company with miles of room to grow and develop, we are looking for the right person to help us along this journey.

Business, events & sales development

- Engaging and working with local businesses to plan events and increase sales.
- Learning what businesses want to drive new product/offering development.
- Coordinating with partners to create new event ideas.
- Liaising with the relevant PR companies.
- Researching and attending all relevant networking events as brand ambassador.
- Developing and maintaining an online tracking system of businesses visited and subsequent sales and results etc.
- Sharing progress updates at weekly management meetings.
- Responding to event requests within 24 hours.
- Generating quotes for events and enquiries.
- Planning event logistics with Ruby Violet team, including Management, Kitchen and Staff.
- Attending/serving at events as a brand ambassador, to assist with the promotion, development and growth of Ruby Violet.

Creative Ice cream & Pastry Chef

We are primarily looking for a full time ice cream maker, we also have a number of different jobs available, so if you would like to work for Ruby Violet, please email us.
We create exciting and innovative ice creams and sorbets using only the best quality ingredients and production methods which we serve from our Tufnell Park parlour and our new location at Granary Square Kings Cross.

We are looking for someone with flair and creativity in the kitchen to join our friendly team. Ideal applicants might have a background in pastries, speciality desserts, food design, have attended formal chef training or something similar. The right applicant will be a motivated worker with excellent interpersonal skills and high standards. The candidate must be willing to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed in our small but growing business.

 Responsibilities will include:

- Doing what is required to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly & high standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Creating ice cream cakes, gelollies, and other desserts in consultation with clients.
- Churning ice cream and sorbet.
- Baking biscuits, sponge cake, meringues and other treats.
- Working with clients to create bespoke ice cream flavours.
- Developing new product lines with the director.
- Cleaning, inventory and purchasing.
- Preparing our food products for professional photography.
- Occasionally serving customers and helping out around the parlour with opening/closing duties.

 The successful applicant will receive the relevant training to complete all aspects to a high standard.

Qualifications:

- Fluent English.
- Previous kitchen experience in a creative role.
- Level 2 Food & Hygiene certificate (you can get this online).
- Valid work permit/visa for the UK.
- Love of ice cream & a good sense of humour.

Must be willing to work flexible hours, in particular evenings and weekends. July-August are our high season, which means we need all hands on deck.

FOH staff, Ruby Violet Ice Cream, King's Cross & Tufnell Park

We are looking for an enthusiastic and EXPERIENCED member of staff to join our front of house team on a full time basis. We are interested in people of all ages with retail experience.

We create exciting and innovative ice creams and sorbets using only the best quality ingredients and production methods, which we serve from our parlours at Tufnell Park and Kings Cross just off Granary Square.

The right applicant will be a motivated hard worker with excellent interpersonal skills and high standards.

Responsibilities will include:

- Doing what is required to ensure the shop runs smoothly & high standards of hygiene are maintained
- All aspects of customer service.
- Preparing & serving ice cream, drinks and sundaes.

The successful applicant will receive the relevant training to complete all aspects to a high standard.

Qualifications:

- Fluent English.
- Customer service experience in a food setting.
- Level 2 Food & Hygiene certificate.
- Valid work permit/visa for the UK.
- Love of ice cream & a good sense of humour.

Must be willing to work flexible hours, in particular evenings and weekends.
