National Tea Day

After extolling the virtues of Coffee in my previous blog, now on to my second love; a good cup of tea!

In my household, it’s quite usual to hear my mum warbling ‘I like a nice cup of tea’ whilst filling the kettle. If you are not familiar with this Binnie Hale song I urge you to take a quick detour to YouTube now. It definitely sums up our dedication as a nation to drinking the warm beverage morning, noon and night!

Tea has the advantage that it can be restorative, calming, detoxifying, energy-giving and a hundred other things, depending on your choice of leaf! Very soon, the seemingly limitless virtues of tea will be out in force for (I’m very excited about this, can you tell?) National Tea Day!

On April 21st at Kensington Roof Gardens you’ll be able to sample new teas from around the world, enjoy an afternoon tea experience, learn about the health and wellness benefits of tea and there will be, of course, cake galore. For just £5. With 100% of the proceeds going to their charity partners. Tea and supporting worthy causes; sign me up!

If you can’t make it to Kensington, check out their ‘Tea Near You’ or ‘Bring Your Tea Home’ pages for info on how to celebrate tea at your own pace.

Don’t forget we make Green Tea, Masala Chai and Earl Grey ice creams; for an alternative way to satisfy that tea craving! Plus, between you and me, watch this space for some exciting tea collaborations coming to Ruby Violet soon!

May your teapot never run dry,

Kat @ Ruby Violet

Arthur blinked at the screens and felt he was missing something important. Suddenly he realized what it was.

"Is there any tea on this spaceship?" he asked.”
